Administering a Mixed-Asset Estate in Johor Bahru
The Challenge
A widow approached us after her husband's passing. He had left behind two residential properties, a savings account, and a small investment portfolio. No will had been prepared. The family needed letters of administration before any assets could be transferred.
What We Did
Our team prepared the application for letters of administration and filed with the relevant court. We liaised with the financial institution, the land registry, and LHDN on behalf of the family. Documentation was consolidated into a clear file for the client throughout.
The Outcome
Letters of administration granted after approximately 5 months. All three asset categories transferred to the beneficiaries. The client noted that having one point of contact for all authority liaisons significantly reduced the burden on her during a difficult period.

Case Study 02 · Full Legacy Engagement
Coordinating Faraid Distribution Across Three States
The Challenge
An elderly patriarch had properties registered in Johor, Selangor, and Kelantan. His estate had multiple beneficiaries including children from two marriages, and some disagreement had developed about the intended distribution. The family wanted a single practice to manage the entire matter.
What We Did
We coordinated with solicitors in the other states for the non-Johor properties, managed the full faraid calculation, and held separate meetings with various branches of the family. Each party was kept informed individually where sensitivities required it.
The Outcome
Full distribution completed within 9 months. The consolidated estate record we prepared became a reference document for future generations in the family. All parties confirmed acceptance of the distribution at closure.
